11.21.08 - Blaaahhh
Jackson
thinks he is an animal. Of some sort. Most days now, instead of greeting people
with his old way of a wave and "hi", he now sticks out his tongue and says "blaaaaahhhh".
Lovely manners, that boy. He is also quite the climber. He now can push a chair
over to our bed and uses that to climb up. He has also been caught on the
kitchen table and is of course always on the sofa and living room chairs. He
does well holding a hand to go up or down stairs now, which saves my back a
little with us living on the third floor of the building. We think he is in the
middle of a growth spurt recently because he always seems to be hungry and never
wants to stop eating. He loves carbs (bread, potatoes, pasta) and pretty much
despises meat except for chicken on occasion. He's picky about textures. He can
now finally drink out of a straw and used this to his advantage to drink up some
Orange Julius the other day. His hair is quickly growing back into the baby
mullet style, so I assume he will be getting another trim shortly. I'm dreading
that because he had an absolute fit during his last hair cut. I'm hoping the
distraction of a lollipop may help next time. We've completed our Christmas
shopping for him and just need to place an order for his big item: a wooden
table and two chairs from Pottery Barn Kids. He is also getting a shopping cart,
play food, a giant ABC puzzle (Melissa & Doug - my favorite brand of toys!),
Little People airplane, books, and art supplies.
